UK Cold Water Swimming Championships

South London Swimming Club organise this annual event which has become a must for cold water swimmers, each year attracting many people who are trying it for the very first time. Age and ability is no barrier as with temperatures as low as 4°C, jumping in for the 30 metre races is a challenge in itself.

There are a variety of races this year, from the traditional “head up” breaststroke, the freestyle dash and relays, to the endurance 450 metre challenge for the really fool hardy.

To help competitors recover there’ll be a Finnish sauna available after the races as well as a host of stalls and entertainment going on throughout the day.

To enter please follow the link below and complete the on-line entry form.

All entries must be completed on line by the 24 December 2008. Entry is on a first come first served basis. Entrants will receive confirmation by email that their application has been accepted.
