2024 Key Holder Duty

Key Holder Rota

This is a rota for EDOWSC Key Holders,  for opening up at beginning of Tuesday evening sessions and locking up at the end. It is not to take on registration duties, although the roles can be doubled up if needed

OVERVIEW OF DUTY

• Open Up Role
  Arrive at the session in good time to open up the changing rooms.
  Carry out risk assessment, agree direction of swim and time limit.
• Lock Up Role
  Ensure all swimmers are returned
  Clear up and lock the changing rooms.

TIMINGS

• 17:45hrs     Open changing rooms
• 18:00hrs    Carry out risk assessment, agree direction of swim and time limit.
• 18:15hrs     Briefing
• 18:35hrs     Open Up keyholder hands over to Lock Up Key Holder
• 19:30hrs     Swim Ends (adjust shorter as evenings gets darker)
• 20:00hrs    All packed up and locked up

Notes

1. Orange hat swimmers may set off before the safety briefing if they set off early they need to record swim start time on the registration sheet and swim in the agreed swim direction unless agreed with the safety briefing officer but they must return on time for deregistration.
2. Tuesday evening swim sessions may start and finish earlier at the end of the season depending on light levels.
