Hello
I’m writing just to let you know that there will be shortly be some works to replenish the sand at Shore Road/Flaghead; the attached map shows where the works will take place.
Sea Swimmers / Watersports enthusiasts – what you need to know about beach renourishments
Please be aware that there will be intermittent shoreline pipe movements from Bournemouth to Canford Cliffs over the next week while we continue our beach renourishment programme. Underwater pipes will also be moved and may temporarily disrupt access to the sea and beach opposite the BIC, at Canford Cliffs, east of the Pavilion. Strategically placed sand ramps will be provided to help you get up and over the shoreline pipe. More at poolebay.net
Kitesurfers – what you need to know about Shore Road beach renourishments
From approx. 23 March, please be aware that we will be constructing a shoreline pipe from Canford Cliffs to the west of Shore Road beach to continue with our beach renourishment programme. Fencing will also be in place around the working end of the pipe where sand is being deposited and large machinery is operating. For safety reasons, please can we ask that you avoid the area for a few days. Subject to weather conditions, we aim to be off the beach after the Easter bank holidays. We apologise for any temporary inconvenience caused. More at poolebay.net
