Coaching Eva Risztov

View FINA video (9m 49s) of a presentation on 10km open water swimmer Eva Risztov given by Ferenc Kovacshegyi (HUN) at 1st FINA Gold Medal Swimming Coaches Clinic in Moscow.

The Oct 2012 event was attended by more than 400 swimming coaches from 100 nations. It offered a golden opportunity over two days to exchange ideas, experience and knowledge with top-level coaches from swimming powerhouses such as the USA, Australia and China and was praised by many participants.

In all, 11 leading figures in the world of swimming, representing six different countries – all of whom had helped steer an athlete to gold medal success at the London 2012 Olympic Games – provided a comprehensive overview of coaching practices and shared valuable expertise with delegates interested in developing elite swimming athletes in their own country.

Breaks during the Clinic provided time to discuss the wide range of techniques and tips presented by the speakers and enable networking within the coaching community.

The next FINA Gold Medal Swimming Coaches Clinic will be held as part of the 3rd FINA World Aquatics Convention in Doha, Qatar, in December 2014.
