“It felt so good to take 10 seconds off my PB. I’ve been doing open water swimming in fairly rough seas and this seemed to really help! My coach and I have also been working on a new pacing plan; saving more energy for the second half of the race. Everything paid off tonight!” said Emily.
Emily’s first medal of the meet came in the Women’s 17 Yrs/Over 400m Free.Team. Emily swam 59.21, helping her team to a podium 3rd place finish (4:03.23) with team mates Inez Griffin, Katie Mills and Madison Kemp.

Karen Clarke hailed the incredible team spirit, sportsmanship, guts and determination shown by Poole’s senior girls and like Karen, we are very proud of Emily’s and their fantastic achievements.
