Mencap Mile
Mencap Mile
This 1 mile open water charity swim in aid of Mencap will take place in Dorney lake, renowed for its clear, clean and warm waters. The 2km long lake is located less then 2 miles from the M4, just outside the M25 and is the venue for the 2012 Olympic Rowing events. The large boat house balcony overlooks the lake and start area. Spectators can enjoy panoramic views of all the action and refreshments will be available on the balcony.

Mencap is the voice of people with a learning disability, providing vital services and campaigning for the rights of people with a learning disability.

Event participants are asked to raise a recommended £50 sponsorship. This is not compulsory but the more you raise the more you will be supporting people with a learning disability, their families and carers. For more details on Mencap and this event please visit www.mencap.org.uk/mencapmile
