OSS December Dip 2010

Saturday 4 December 2010 (60 metres) – Parliament Hill Lido, London

The OSS December Dip – on the first Saturday of every December – is gaining something of a cult following, with 240 swimmers celebrating the start of the 2009 festive season.

It’s back for 2010, with some brilliant speakers, a hot tub, cold plunge, ginger wine & mingling, and the kind of good time you can lunch off for at least the rest of the day.

Previous talks have been by poet and swimmer Owen Sheers, adventurer Ben Fogle, Lewis Gordon Pugh (first person to swim in both poles) and Cassie Patten (Olympic open water swimmer).

The event is a fundraiser, tickets costs £15 and include a special festive Christmas OSS hat, mince pies and tea and coffee. Please do bring homebaked treats, hip flasks and thermoses of hot chocolate or mulled wine (for afterwards) to share. (Plus a cheque book or cash if you’d like to buy signed copies of Wild Swim or OSS hats or hoodies.)
