Seahorse News Autumn 2014

The Seahorse Trust Autumn 2014 Newsletter includes features on EDOWSC Seahorse Swim and continuing efforts to protect seahorses and their habitats.

Sadly no seahorses were found on the Trust’s study site at South Beach in Studland this year but there was one transient juvenile male found on the site next door. This does not bode well for the future of the seahorses at Studland unless the site is designated as a Marine Conservation Zone and only people power will make that happen.

We hope club members will lobby DEFRA to get this site protected; it is more urgent than ever before.
