Solent Swim 2009

Champion Behaviours would love our club members to take part in a swim across the Solent on 18 Jul 2009  to raise money for the non-for-proft organisation. (15/16 Aug as backup in case of bad weather)

The organisation is set up to deliver motivational workshops to young people aged 12-15 years old who are in danger of exclusion from school and society. It is supported by Hampshire Police Authority and in the process of gaining Charity status.

Firmly believing that every child matters, Champion Behaviours has been created as a way of directly helping to re-engage disaffected young people – promoting inclusion – and improving attendance, classroom behaviour and social skills, whilst reducing crime, fear of crime and anti social behaviour in our community.

The first organised swim across the Solent saw 20 swim across the Solent from Lymington to Yarmouth, raising some £5,000 for Champion Behaviours. Last year £7000 was raised.
