View an edited version of a documentary shown on Supersport 6 of an historic event, the Speedo Ice Swim Africa.
This is an ice swim – a swim done in water temperature less than 5C – in Fraserburg, close to the town Sutherland, which is one of the coldest towns in South Africa. It features Ram Barkai (Founder of the International Ice Swimming Association), Cecilia Schutte (the first South African woman to have swum an Ice Mile and also the first woman to be accepted in the International Ice Swimming Association). R15000 was raised for the development of a local school.
