The deadline to submit your entry to this fantastic mass participation event is 20 July – so why not do it now!? Click to sign up.
As well as competing in the mass participation event, you’ll be part of a unique festival celebrating all things open water.
The ASA’s Open Water Festival
Whether you are a novice or seasoned pro at the difficult discipline, this series of events will offer the opportunity for all to compete.
The unique design of the competition’s 1km route means that all competitors get the same experience of swimming on an established and safe course.
Based on the success of last year’s event, the British Gas ASA Open Water 1km Swim will once again be held on the first day of the festival on Sunday 24 July 2011 and is the ONLY national mass participation race to be held by the ASA in 2011.
Following on from the mass participation event, the experienced swimmers of the British Gas ASA 3k Open Water Masters Championships will take to the water to compete for national honours.
The Age Group and Youth Open Water Championships are also part of the festival with the Youth Championships on the Monday and the Age Groups Championships being held on the Tuesday.
